Tree-Nation is the biggest free Internet social network with the objective of planting trees in order to fight poverty, desertification, deforestation and climate change.
Why ?
Because we can make a difference for our planet! We aim to contribute to a better world by getting people to join our community and plant trees. At Tree-Nation we believe that planting trees is possibly the best way to fight Climate Change.

Where ?
In every country where our help is needed. Over the years, Tree-Nation will add more plantations all over the planet contributing to the birth of millions of new trees.
Our first project´s purposes and locations are:
- Fighting desertification and Fighting poverty in Niger.
- Water protection and CO2 offsets in Nicaragua.
How ?
Using the latest in mapping technology people all over the world can plant a tree on a virtual map and a real tree will be planted in the same place in the real world. The virtual trees all have Tree-Blogs and Profiles so that you can keep in touch with the recipient and interact with others who have bought trees via our community.
You can share ideas, photos, messages, make contacts and debate on environmental issues. You can choose from many species such as an Acacia Senegal for its long roots, an exotic Palm for its medicinal properties, a Baobab for its longevity and majestic beauty or a Roble Sabanero for its high potential for reforestation and the restoration of agro-forestry systems among others.
Who ?
It's your project! You can join and participate at every stage. On our interactive website, as a member of the Tree-Nation community, you will play an active role in the development of the projects. The community provides a platform through which everyone including scientific experts, celebrities, politicians and students can debate and resolve global environmental challenges, and even create their own projects.
Also, we provide a platform for companies who wish to transmit their corporate social responsibility to their employees and clients.

We are a multicultural and international team based in Barcelona, dedicated to the communication and financing of the planting projects. We work hand in hand with local planting teams who have years of experience in reforestation.
Together with local communities, nurseries and organisations we create the best possible environment for the trees to grow steadily.
We believe that the combination of our efforts, international expertise and local community knowledge are the key ingredients for the success of our projects. We share the same vision that although protecting the environment is a complex issue we can contribute with a positive and open attitude.
